The fam calls me Malik, but I'm known as Sovash in online circles. I'm a cartoonist and graphic artist with skills in traditional media such as painting, penwork, and sculpting. I come from a very crazy, loving family of five, and I prioritize time spent with my loved ones and my destructive 4 cats. I mostly work with digital art and 2D animation, with over 8 years of experience and growing expertise in the field. My hobbies include random hyperfixations on researching niche biology and historical studies, and I dabble with elements of exterior outdoor design.
My Story
While growing up, I remember being captivated by watching Saturday night cartoons and paleontology documentaries. I essentially was your average ADHD kid with major hyper-fixations in crafting and biology. I would spend hours watching those shows that I swear my mother specifically dropped cable just to get my siblings and me away from the TV. My childhood investment in story-driven shows, amazing character designs, fanatical worlds, and strong emotional bonds pushed me to work on character and story development. As for my deep interest in paleo-art and creature design, I’ve always been a huge animal lover, and seeing the multiple designs of real-life creatures and fantasy beasts always took my imagination to new heights.
